I have a 2x4x6.7 tent. I am considering using my vent only 10min per hour or use a closed loop between extraction and intake. I'm using led so heat is not a problem. How does the controller release co2, at intervals? With a closed loop surely the co2 released should be reduced. How would the controller handle this?
Hi, from what you've told us you'd probably be better off with the Ecotechnics Evolution CO2 Complete Kit
The regulator will be fine for your tent size but things get less predictable with a closed loop environment and high energy plants will start to suffer if co2 levels go above 1450 ppm, ideally you want to keep a range of 1250 to 1350 ppm whilst the lights are on and drop back down to atmospheric levels when the lights are off (400 ppm). Using the kit you'd have complete control over maintaining co2 ppm at optmimum levels as it comes complete with an analyser and controller to regulate supply.
There are many other considerations beyond heat to consider with closed loop, such as air condioning and de-humidifying so make sure you read up on this before going ahead!
