Aerated DWC hydroponic system

The PLANT!T® aeros IV is a 4 plant Deep Water Culture system, also commonly known as a bubbler system.

These are very popular hydroponic systems that require very little growing media, but do require a lot of nutrient/water solution.

The PLANT!T® aeros IV is best suited for short term and seasonal cropping plants.

The plant is supported in a net pot filled with a growing media such as clay pebbles and the roots are submerged in a highly oxygenated nutrient/water solution.

The PLANT!T® aeros IV includes 4 aeros modules and a separate nutrient solution master tank with a level indicator.

The nutrient solution is recirculated around the whole system with a high quality pump to ensure that each plant receives the correct amount of solution.

The two twin outlet air pumps and a submersible airstone in each tank provides a large amount of oxygen to the roots of the plant, resulting in rapid growth.

The bubbles produced by the airstone keep the nutrient/water solution constantly moving and oxygen-rich, so that the roots stay healthy.

It is important to monitor EC and pH levels closely with this system in order to gain optimum results. This is easy to do by simply removing the inspection port cover and taking a pH/EC reading.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • With the PLANT!T AEROS IV where would I add my nutrients ? To all the tubs or just the one middle one and what’s the process of it ?

      Hi Joshua,

The nutrient solution is added to the central master tank and recirculated around the whole system with a pump to ensure that each plant receives the correct amount of solution. The two twin outlet air pumps and a submersible airstone in each tank provides a large amount of oxygen to the roots of the plant.

The plants are supported by net pots and the roots grow down into the pot which contains the growing media, we recommend clay pebbles for this. The nutrient solution is pumped into the pots and airstones within each allow the nutrient solution to bubble up through the pebbles which keep the nutrient/water solution constantly moving and oxygen-rich, so the roots stay healthy.

It is important to monitor EC and pH levels closely with this system. This is easy to do by simply removing the inspection port cover on the central master tank and taking a reading with pH/EC meter.

I hope this helps, please get in touch if you need any further support.
